An amazingly taunt and raw book. I was sorry I had chosen to read this in a week I was working a lot of hours. Once started it is hard to put down. Painful at time, uplifting at others. This will surely be on my Top-10 reads of 2012 list. So much I would like to say, but I cannot without revealing important facts about the book. Richly drawn characters inhabit a very real world small town. For those of us who have spent time in a small town the reality of what that is like are stark and utterly believable. If you never have this book will make you understand. My highest recommendation.
