Review: Safe Haven

Safe Haven
Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is actually my first Nicholas Sparks novel. Several friends had recommended him in general and this book in particular. I did enjoy it very much. A good story, well told with some surprise twists. However, that being said, for being a superstar author I do not think his stuff was any better, and in fact not likely as good as the stuff I am reading from a lot of indie authors, in particular Colleen Hoover[a:Colleen Hoover|5430144|Colleen Hoover|http://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1333056335p2/5430144.jpg], Nyrae Dawn[a:Nyrae Dawn|5784345|Nyrae Dawn|http://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1354150152p2/5784345.jpg], Steph Campbell [a:Steph Campbell|2156112|Steph Campbell|http://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1335935991p2/2156112.jpg] Liz Reinhardt [a:Liz Reinhardt|5189109|Liz Reinhardt|http://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1333942846p2/5189109.jpg], Abbi Glines[a:Abbi Glines|4872191|Abbi Glines|http://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1345377921p2/4872191.jpg], Shirley Miranda [a:Shirley Miranda|5836002|Shirley Miranda|http://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1339204673p2/5836002.jpg], Jolene Perry [a:Jolene Perry|6471427|Jolene Perry|http://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1355691210p2/6471427.jpg], and Jessica Park [a:Jessica Park|22159|Jessica Park|http://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1354550017p2/22159.jpg].

Fame and talent are not necessarily the same thing.
