Saving Francesca by Melina Marchetta

A friend gave me a copy of The Piper's son, and as it was a sequel to this I decided i wanted to read this first. Glad I did. A sad, but uplifting story of you girl whose family is going through some serious issues at a time in her life when everything else is also uprooted. The main protagonist, Franchesca is believable and you really root for her.
I enjoyed it very much, 4.5 stars for sure.
